Handy! |
Clearly I stand no chance, probably this entire next year, of doing any decent updates. So I guess I'll just do the paragraph blogging so unsatisfactory to the future me. Sigh.
First off: if you are in law school and you do not have an apple, then you have a Dell or a Thinkpad. The end. No discussion, no exceptions. It's weird. Whatever happened to, say, Toshiba? I used to love those Toshibas!
Sometimes the law is in direct accord with my own philosophy, which is kind of weird: "We must look to the outward expression of a person as manifesting his intention rather than to his secret and unexpressed intention. The law imputes to a person an intention corresponding to the reasonable meaning of his words and acts."
How many times have I got in trouble for random bits of personal thoughts or scribbling? For me, I've thought my regular life should be the more appropriate guage of how I really feel than something I meant to have hidden in comments (darn Firefox!).
Granted, if I didn't want to play with fire, I should have kept the matches at home. I am stupid that way. It's true.
Here's a moderately depressing thought: I just don't care about politics any more. I don't care about the hopeless state of government misguidedness. I don't care about fighting stupid injustices at a systemic level. I feel completely unempowered to affect any global change. I am content to do what I can within the limits alotted me. I don't care about local political races. I don't care about major political figures of the past. I don't care to delve into understanding of competing political theories any more. I don't have the time for it, and it is all just too depressing to handle right now.
I'm sure that is not the guy I want to be, but that sure is the guy I am these days.
Also, school is awesome.
