The language of sentimentality is badly eroded. Even the word sentimentality is loaded with negative connotations, despite it being but a simple derivation from the innocent ‘sentiment’. As a result, we are left without words when something touches us. We babble like babies, “wow! Gee! Thanks! That’s amazing! That is perfect! It’s just what I wanted! Oh man! Thanks!”...

I wish that the New Year’s Resolution spirit could take us more than once a year.
